Breakdown
Metro Atlanta vs. South Georgia is the matchup between Alexander and Lee County in the AAAAAA State Championship. These two teams have been two of the best in the classification this season and should provide a fun matchup on Friday night.
Alexander is led by junior forward Braedan Lue as well as senior guard & Chattanooga commit Noah Melson and seniors Marvin McGhee, JayQuan Nelson & Milan Kennedy. They have a ton of firepower on the offensive end and always play a high pressure style defensively. They played a tough schedule all season and will be very much battle tested coming into this one.
They will be taking on a Lee County team that a lot of people in the Atlanta area might not know a lot about. Lee is led by senior point guard DJ Taylor, who might not be the biggest player on the floor but he usually provides huge production. He is one of the state's best passers and sets the table extremely well for his teammates. He averages a double-double on the season with points and assists. Another big presence for Lee is sophomore forward Ousmane Kromah, who people in South Georgia are very high on. He also averages a double-double on the season.
