Team Preview:
Archer returns a very talented class of seniors that were a very tough out a year ago and made some noise in the postseason tournaments. One thing is for sure with any Archer team including this one: they will challenge the opposition and play hard every single game.
The Tigers have one of the best backcourts in Gwinnett County, and all three of the feature guards serve as great complements to each other.
Christian Drummer has all the intangibles that any coach loves. He has good size, he’s a leader, he defends relentlessly, and he can attack the basket and put pressure opposing defenses. Along side him is 6-foot-4 guard Damoni Harrison, who has all of the offensive tools in his bag. He can score the ball from every level of the floor as well as make plays for teammates. Major Freeman is the last piece in the backcourt, and he is very good all around and always seems to find himself in the right place to make plays. All three guards have good size and versatility and are interchangeable.
While the Tigers will not have a ton of size, they will make up for it with their fast style of play and their toughness. Ryen Jones is their feature man in the frontcourt, and he rebounds the ball well and can finish plays as well. Sophomore Dominick Wright provides additional size and length, and he showed a lot of promise at the 15U level at our events during the travel season with the Gwinnett Hawks.
